The Laws of the Tonal and the Laws of the Nagual
|
by Kris Raphael |
A warrior must be adept at working the laws of both the tonal (form) and the Nagual (energy). The riddle here is that the laws of form contradict the laws of energy. The laws contradict but are not in opposition. To manifest that which we desire in our life we must be able to use both the laws of energy and the laws of form.
What is form? It is solidified, coagulated energy. It is the reflection of the Nagual in structure. It is the world of doing. When you ask yourself, what can I DO to get the result I want, you are dealing with the world of form. Doing work in your outer world is working in the world of form. Doing work in our inner world is working in the world of energy.
The world of unstructured energy is a world of sensation. It is the world of being. Developing the ability to sense energy is an essential first step of a warrior. When speaking of sensation I am not referring to the 5 senses. Unfortunately in the English language, there is not a good word for perceiving the sensation of energy so this word will have to do. Part of `seeing' involves perceiving the sensation of energy. The Nagual gives us energy essences such as peace, abundance, and so on. These are essences that exist in the Nagual in unstructured energy. With practice, a warrior can sense these essences. They each have a distinct sensation. One secret to manifesting is the process of bringing the pure sensation of an essence into form. I will not go into the details of this process here, as the topic of this article is different. But I will say that to manifest you must first find the sensation of the unstructured energy essence, hold onto that sensation through attention and focus, let the sensation create an image and thoughts (mental body), then let the sensation create a feeling (emotional body) and then a physical action in your inner world (physical body).
Coming back to the laws of energy and the laws of form, remember that the laws are opposite. For example in the world of energy like attracts like. However, in the world of form like repels like (example the same poles of two magnets repel each other). Knowing how these laws work in both form and energy we can, for example, manifest what we want twice as fast as we would if we were only to use the laws of form or the laws of energy.

As an example, I will use manifesting money. First (1st step) we will work in the world of energy (Nagual). Remember that all form (tonal) comes from energy first. In the world of energy like attracts like. The source of money (which is form) in the world of the Nagual is the essence of abundance. Therefore, in order to manifest more money we must use the essence of abundance to attract like, which is more abundance. This requires inner world work to move the energy of our inner world from lack to abundance. We can do this by changing the frequency of our beliefs and thoughts from lack to abundance. We can go out into nature and sense the unlimited abundance in nature until we can grasp and hold onto the sensation of abundance. Then we ALIGN our inner world to abundance.
At the same time, we work in the world of form or doing (2nd step). In the world of form like repels like and opposites attract. Therefore, if we want to come out of lack we must first repel it. We must become and do lack. We go on a budget. We watch our money. We save. We don't fight lack, we absolutely accept it. This brings fear in some and we resist it. But it is the first step using the laws of form. We must repel lack. Accept lack in your outer world, the world of form and you will repel lack.
The third step is to bring the Nagual into the tonal, or to bring the unstructured energy into structured energy or form. At this point, you cross over from lack to abundance. You release your budget. You begin giving money such as tithing or charity. You let the abundance of your Nagual flow into your outer world.
By doing these 3 steps we have effectively used both the laws of the Nagual and the laws of the tonal together to double our effectiveness.
Love and Light,
Kris

| Dear Guides,
How do you stop from being drained and only feeling like an empty shell? It just doesn't stop.
-John
Hello John,
When we are feeling drained, it is because we are losing energy. Unfortunately, there are many ways that we lose energy and this is why it is so important to do the work on our personal and spiritual growth path. As we learn how we allow our energy to be drained from us we also gain the awareness and tools to reclaim our energy and refine it.
We hope you choose to take some steps on a spiritual path for yourself, John. Feeling so drained or like an empty shell is a significant sign from life that you need to make changes in your life.
Love and Light,
K2 (Kris & Kalyn)
Dear Guides,
I have been on my path for quite some time now, but have only become aware of it recently. Since I was a child I felt somehow different but did not know how or why. By the time I was in High School and took my first Psychology course, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others. I also knew I was going to strive to become "self-actualized". I am now 41, soon to be divorced, and a Mom to two small children. Along with adapting to my new life as a single Mom, I am struggling with many issues, most of which stem from childhood wounds and others from social conditioning. I am currently faced with two situations which bring up the question of self-sacrifice versus personal happiness. Is it the Nagual's way to always choose what is best for others instead of what we want? I understand the concept that we receive fulfillment from doing for others. For example, should we remain in unhappy marriages because we chose the relationship and have a commitment to see it through? I chose to marry someone who is very immature, has a very unhealthy attachment to his family and who is bipolar. Is it selfish of me to want to pursue my hopes and dreams, which now I know will be achieved as long as I am working my path? I've always had a fear of being alone, fear of abandonment and I have an opportunity here and now to reach my full potential. This theme of sacrificing things I want for the sake of others keeps coming up. When does self-sacrifice help you on your path and when does it hinder you? I look forward to the day when I do not have to seek outside counsel. Until that day, however, I really could use some guidance on this matter.
-Debbie
Hello Debbie,
It is significant and meaningful that you are aware of the pattern of self-sacrifice in your life, as this is a part of your life issue or your karma.
A Nagual is a master of perception, as they are able to see life more clearly than most and they are able to see deeper beyond time and space. As such, a Nagual works at a higher level of purpose or motivation than most. To a Nagual, there is no such thing as self-sacrifice because everything they do has purpose and intent to it.
A Nagual has mastered their life issue, or karma. They have gone through situations like you have, Debbie, but they have dealt with them differently. A Nagual is always guided by something greater than themselves and by following this guidance they are able to shift, change and improve their lives.
Our life issue is meant to provide us with challenges to overcome and grow from. It is only through these challenges that we have the opportunity to become aware of and take actions with what we need to do. It is these actions that change ourselves, our lives and our energy. Thus, a Nagual’s guidance is available to us all.
Life is our greatest teacher because it is always objective and always serves us by providing the challenges necessary to our life issue. Use what life is giving you Debbie. Take steps towards shifting your perception to realize that your life is not really about self-sacrifice, but rather about the challenge of finding what you really need to do and following this through, knowing that you are doing what is best for yourself or your family. Although these challenges don’t always feel good, we need to bear in mind that the love and joy that we bring to our lives when we do what is best, not what feels best in the moment, is beyond our wildest dreams.
Debbie, we hope that you can realize that you have a choice between seeking out and doing what is in yours and your family’s best interest or feeling punished in this life by having to sacrifice yourself. Your life’s potential lies in seeking out and living up to the challenges you have been given.
Love and Light,
K2 (Kris & Kalyn)

Self - Image: The Cage that Keeps us from Living
|
by Matthew Roethel |
Remember the first time you met your future in-laws? You spent hours asking your partner questions about them so that you could dress right, say the right thing, and you hoped that if you were the slightest bit lucky, Mom and Dad In-law wouldn't think that their kid was a total idiot for wanting to marry you. Do you remember anything about the evening? Or were you so wrapped up in making sure that you lived up to the image that you created that you were not able to pay attention to anything going on around you. You leave the party, turn to your partner and say, "Can you tell me what happened tonight? I can't remember a thing!"
It was the same thing when you went to that job interview, gave that big presentation at work, took your first big customer out for dinner. Do you remember the moments or does it all seem like a blur? Oh, and that image you presented to the in-laws - does it match the one you show your boss? Does it even match the one you show to your partner?
Have you ever signed up for an Internet dating site? That's kind of fun - you get to create an image of yourself when you fill out your profile. If anyone has tried it, aren't you amazed at the wide variety of body types that fit the description of "average"? I have a friend who signed up with several sites at the same time. He had to keep a set of 3 x 5 cards with him when he went on dates so he could remember what he had said about himself on the site where he met that night's date.
There is not a single human being on the planet, now or ever, who has not created an image of what they should be and tried to live up to it. It is simply the way things work - as a child, we need acceptance, approval and love. To get these things, we try to be what we think our parents, teachers, friends and everyone else wants us to be so that our needs will be met. What ends up happening is that we are so busy maintaining our image that we forget to live life.
This is a true story - when I was in high school, I wanted to throw a party for my friends. I planned everything out, carefully picked out who to invite, got just the right food and drink. Just before the party was to start, one of my friends called and asked if he could bring along these three girls that he knew. I said no. Why? Because that wasn't planned for in my image of the party. Of course, he ended up not coming, along with half the other kids. All that was left was me and a couple of my dorky friends sitting around staring at each other for three hours. Image. Wonderful.
Okay - now we know the issue, what do we do about it? First, I had to admit that I was not fooling anyone. Do you have friends that try to maintain carefully crafted images of themselves? Are they fooling you? Think about it. What makes you think you are fooling anyone? If you are feeling really brave, and have a friend that you trust, do this exercise: write down two things that you like about yourself, and two things that you don't like but think that you keep hidden from everyone. Ask your friend to do the same - about you. Compare the lists. Are you fooling anyone? What are you going to gain by maintaining the image?
Once you decide to let it go, how do you get rid of it? At K2's Ascension Workshop, we did a death and rebirth process where we left all of our baggage behind and started life over with a clean slate. Many spiritual paths have similar processes. You can do it alone, or you can make it very powerful by doing it in a group with common intent. Once you are reborn, no more image, all that is left is Self. You are free to be. You are free to live. (And yes, it really is that simple. The hard part, for me anyway, was getting over the fear that if I let go of my image, there would be nothing left.)
Then what happens? You begin to experience life. I spent an afternoon hanging out with friends with no conversations in my head. I was relaxed and natural, and they responded. We spent a lot of time smiling and laughing. For the first time in years (the first time that I can remember), I was able to look up and say, "I'm happy" with nothing attached to it. Let go of your self-image, and see how much better you feel.
Love and Light,
Matthew

Manifesting Using the Powerful Energy of Your Sexual Center |
|
| |
K2 have created a special process to support those working to increase their abundance using the sexual/creative center or chakra!
Manifesting Using the Powerful Energy of Your Sexual Center is a process that focuses specifically on manifesting abundance using the power of our creative sexual center, our second chakra. This is our divine energetic channel for creativity, the chakra of our sexual power. Creating life is not the only thing we are able to manifest, of course. It is, however, the key to our manifestation so in this process we focus on using this energetic center in manifesting abundance into our lives.
Testimonial: "Awesome process, Kris! I have so much to say about it I do not know where to begin. What was funny about this process is that I did it after my girlfriend had gone to bed so when I got to the part where I spoke what I am manifesting out loud, I was afraid of waking her up. But then I said 'So what. Go for it!' I figure for manifesting an abundance of money in my life, and by consequence hers, she can afford (no pun intended!) to lose a couple minutes of sleep.
I had some difficulty letting thoughts and pictures of what to do come to me. At first what was coming to me was not making any sense. I guess I was judging it and not allowing it to be there. In the end I got clear on what to do--cut up all but one or two of my credit cards and begin a process of paying them off.
I really enjoyed activating my sexual center in this one. I really sensed the power that it brought. Thank you for making this process available.
Love and Light,
Brian"

Fourth Corner
by Kalyn B Raphael

Don't Make Assumptions
Kalyn, I am relatively new to the concept of the 4 Agreements. When I ask a question and I do not get an answer, then, is it alright to "assume" that the answer is a "No"? Example: I asked my friend if he believes in celebrating Christmas and/or the holidays. His initial answer is: "We should be celebrating Christmas every day." Prodding does not produce a more definite answer. Then, can I safely "assume" that I should refrain from giving him a holiday present or wishing him "happy holidays" and pretend that there is nothing different about the season?
Hello Nenet,
Even when we don’t receive an answer to a question we still cannot safely make assumptions. In your example, your friend is just distant with people and wishes to be left alone. However, since you are friends, you still want to connect with him. Wishing him a happy holiday will communicate positive wishes from you. There is no need to remove such communication and since you are friends he will appreciate your sentiment.
In order to clarify your situation you may choose to ask a second question when vague answers are given. Instead of assuming that your friend does not celebrate the holidays, simply re-phrase the question and ask if he does celebrate the holidays instead of asking if he believes in celebrating them.
Love & Light,
Kalyn

by Kalyn B Raphael |
This issue’s article is taken from Kalyn’s book, Seek Your Soul, which is a guided year-long recorder leading us to connect with our Souls in simple, effective and enjoyable ways.
Our Souls encompass everything. They encompass what we feel is “good” and “bad”, but at the levels of our Souls there is no such thing as good/bad, or right/wrong. Everything is just a part of creation and at the energetic levels at which our Souls reside, any “negativity” is transformed into love.
In this sense, we may feel that we find our Souls in beauty, joy and the flow of life. It is beneficial to us look for these in our lives, but they can often be difficult to find, out-shadowed by our hardships, problems and pain. These are challenges that we must work through, but at the same time we can strive to harness the beauty, joy and flow of life. As we work through challenges and strive for beauty, joy and flow of life, what we strive for can grow and increase in our lives. By working with challenges and striving for beauty, joy and flow of life we seek our Souls.
Journaling-
Every day this week seek: Ask yourself, is there beauty, joy and flow in my life? Using the following pages to seek beauty, or an inner light in things, joy, the by-product of love in our lives, and flow, being in the flow of life and your Soul.
Love and Light,
Kalyn
Ask The Author:
While Kalyn was completing Seek Your Soul, she offered a web site where she posted selected parts of the book and encouraged people to participate in the book and on the site. This is an entry posted by a participant regarding "Seek Shades of your Soul".
Dear Kalyn,
The comment that at the energy levels that our souls reside in all negativity is transformed into love... I've not heard it put that way. That does explain how I can somewhat feel a flow of love, and of joy in my being but still be trapped by self doubt. You make it sound so easy to just let go of the rocks at the bottom of this river called self doubt and let the flow of love carry me up to where I can fly.
-misha
Hi Misha,
A huge limitation that many people put on themselves is the false belief that we are bad or wrong when we are negative and that we are unacceptable to our Souls this way. This false belief comes from the idea of sinning and that as sinners we are cast out of Eden or Heaven. This brings us to think that we are unacceptable if we are imperfect, negative or flawed in any way.
This is a terrible belief because when we live by this, we tend to feel bad about ourselves and draw ourselves away from our connecting with our Souls, thinking that we will be cast out. For this reason people also tend to avoid having negative thoughts or admitting any negative aspects to themselves.
Doing our best is important in life but avoiding negativity does not necessarily mean that we are doing our best. We are imperfect by our very nature and it is the correcting of our mistakes or sins that draws us closer to our Souls. By avoiding these we avoid a part of ourselves, keeping the dark places of ourselves even darker.
Our Souls have the power to take our dark parts and transform these, but this is only possible when we don’t deny or avoid these. It is required that we acknowledge our mistakes or the acts that we have taken against ourselves (sins) so that we can pray for correction from our Souls and so that we can work to change and improve ourselves, which also brings us closer to our Souls.
Dumping our rocks at the bottom of the stream, as you say Misha, does sound simple because opening to help begins by simply praying for help. However, letting go of fears or habitual behaviors is the challenge that complicates our journey. As such, working to release old fears, attachments and unhealthy habits is where we need to focus our energy. Whether we believe that we were cast out of Eden or not, we all recognize that we are meant to bring Heaven to Earth. We all have the potential to live a heavenly life – all that is requires is that we seek this, which is synonymous with seeking our Souls.
Love & Light,

Mastery of Awareness - AUDIO COURSE on CDs: An Alternative |
|
| Unable to work directly with a Spiritual Teacher?
Kris and Kalyn have created an alternative, the Mastery of Awareness Audio Course on CDs. The CDs include not only lessons, but also energetic, meditative processes, and also live commentary from Kris and Kalyn. You can listen to the CDs in your car (not the meditative processes please) or in the convenience of your home.
TESTIMONIAL: "Hi K2! I love the Mastery of Awareness CD's! Kris and Kalyn, your commentaries have really helped. The lessons on tape put them in a different dimension for me (out of cyber space and into a voice)...one with more physical aspects. I love your voices too. Anyway, I listen to them in the car. . .so that makes me happy to spend that time in the car this way.
with Love and Light,
