Becoming
a Realist –
A Path to Enlightenment |

What is enlightenment?
En-light-enment means to be full of light. To become
full of light we must be able to first see the
light in all things.
In order to see the light, we must be able to
see what IS. When
we are able to see what IS we become a Realist
– we see what is real.
The average person
has difficulty seeing what IS. In a crime scene
for example,
every witness tells a different story. What actually
happened just IS. However,
each person sees what IS differently, depending
on their
conditioning.
We do this with self.
Until we have done work with awareness, we are only
aware of certain parts of self. Often, we only
see what we want to
see. Our self-image is very different than what
IS. If we do not see
what IS, we cannot heal or transform it. Personal
growth requires healing
and transformation.
If you believe the
bath water is cold, you will add hot water to
it. If,
on the other hand, you tell yourself that the
water is warm even though
it is cold, you will not take any action to transform
the water into
something comfortable. If we believe we are healed
in an area where we
are not, we will never heal or transform it.

The
first step to Enlightenment is Awareness.
We must increase our Awareness. In order
to increase our Awareness we must allow what
IS. Too many people try to avoid what is.
This kills Awareness as to avoid what IS
we must close down our Awareness. To increase
our Awareness we must be a Realist. A Realist
allows and accepts what IS. Once you allow
and accept what IS, then you can transform
what IS. You cannot transform what IS if
you avoid it.
This
is one of the biggest pitfalls in personal growth
and a spiritual path.
When we increase our Awareness, we see things
in self we do not like. A common reaction to
this is to avoid and deny what we see, what IS.
When we go into avoidance and denial we kill
our Awareness and lose our opportunity to heal,
transform and grow.
To
grow and evolve we must deal with what IS at
its level, not at the level we wish it to be.
We must be Realists, willing to see what IS without
avoidance and denial. When we fully allow what
IS into our Awareness, our Awareness grows. As
our Awareness grows, we bring more light into
what IS and it transforms. When we apply this
to self, we bring in more light to self. As self
fills with light we are quickly on the road to
becoming Enlightened.

This is the first time I have visited your site.
Can you give me any guidance for returning to the peaceful
feeling I felt when I was younger. I read all of the Yaqui
Way years ago. Do you suggest I begin by re-reading?

Hello Patti,
Reading books can be a great inspirational or guiding
tool. The trick is to apply what is read so that re-reading
so many books will not bring you the same benefit as
living the information you read in a book for a year.
To take that information and apply it over and over to
your life is to live it.
Children enjoy the benefit of being more open and connected
to themselves and others. To return to the peaceful ways
we felt as children we need to heal ourselves so that
our divine inner children may be what we connect with
again. To connect with ourselves more deeply we will
also need to connect with others more deeply because
we are all One at higher energetic levels. To do this
you may choose to find a group or a school, such as the
Mystery School, where you can connect with others on
their paths as well. When we surround ourselves with
others who share a spiritual path to grow, heal and evolve,
we accelerate our paths and our movement comes more easily,
as we benefit from the connection to a group.
In any case, whether we re-read a book a year or join
a group, what is required to recall our divine inner
child is to apply the spiritual teachings we read or
learn.

This
month we received three questions relating to our
life purpose and sharing the gifts we have in our
lives with others so we have answered them all
together. This is a fine example of one of the
benefits when working in a collective where oftentimes,
group members are working on the same theme with
their own personal variation of that theme. As
people open and share with each other, connections
are made that are beneficial to everyone's healing
and growth. This also illustrates the fact that
human kind is all connected. Even though we are
working on our own individual lives, all our lives
are connected and when we work on ourselves, we
benefit the collective of humanity.
Dearest Guides,
I was recently informed that I am supposed to be a
Master Healer trying to remember my purpose for being
here in the earth school. I do not feel worthy of this
destiny but at the same time I am very curious. I do
not even know what a Master Healer is! I would greatly
appreciate some kind words of wisdom and some advice.

Can you tell me what this means: in a library,
I encountered a gentleman who informed me (not right
away) he was a Nagual. He wished me to know that there
was more to Life (that there was an Afterlife), and he
was carrying a message of hope to me. He said I needed
to work on myself first, before I would be able to help
anybody else. I feel I have special gifts, as I had some
unusual experiences in my life in my teen years (& hope
to work with teens, girls especially); it will be revealed
to me what I should do, and who I should help, will it
not? Also, do much experience seeing a Nagual in a visual
form? What meaning has this?

Seekers,
Our purpose
in life is a common question amongst those on a spiritual
path since our purpose is our reason for coming into
body. We all have the purpose of working with our
personal task and our life mission. Each of us has
our own task, or healing, that needs to be worked
on and this is what the Nagual in the library spoke
of when he said that work must be done on yourself
first. Our personal task is our own energetic wounding
that manifests into our lives in the form of weaknesses.
We all recognize these weaknesses when we realize
our own shortcomings and challenges in life. For
example, an individual may have the potential to
be a successful businessman who brings more environmental
products into the market. However, his weakness is
in dealing with people and learning to stand up for
himself. As a businessman he needs to be able to
read people so that he understands what their true
intentions with him and his company are. If our potential
business man takes on his personal task and strengthens
his ability to read people by learning to see past
his own perceptions and prejudices of others then
he will learn how to treat people in a professional
and powerful manner. On the other hand, if he shies
away from confronting people when needed because
he assumes what their intentions are based on reputations
about them or what they themselves tell him, then
he will never learn to read people. He will also
never learn to behave in a positive powerful manner
because he has truly chosen to avoid confrontation.
This is true for each of us- we must work on our personal
task, our healing and strengthening. Otherwise we will
pollute our life mission, the gifts that we have come
to share with the world. Whether we are here to share
the gift of being a Master Healer, counseling others
or sharing “simple” gifts (which are just as significant
as the “greater” gifts from our Soul’s perspective),
it is important that we master ourselves and our personal
task first. In the Soul or Universe’s infinite wisdom,
we have all been given potential gifts that will realize
fully only when we have realized ourselves (our personal
task).
And in a Universe where such gifts are given, they will
also be lovingly received. To question how the world
will receive our gifts is to truly question how ready
we are to give them, as they may still be polluted, requiring
our purpose in life, which is to heal and strengthen
ourselves first.

The
Road to Freedom |

I
recently hosted my first Sol Group gathering and we went
around the circle sharing when we felt our first desires
for our personal growth and spirituality. We talked a
bit about our desires as it is through these desires,
that we receive messages from something larger than just
our personality.
Over
the years, I have tried different paths and these finally
led me to the Toltec Mystery School. My spiritual seeking
first started with the Guru, and the Guru is
where I found the courage and never-ending desire to
seek God. The Awakening was so powerful that it changed
who I was for months and I could do nothing but think of
Guru and God. My humor was hard to be found and I
found very little to say to my friends of many years. Over
the years, there have been Meditation Groups, Yahoo groups,
and other Gurus. I’ve had many interests in many different
path, always looking for the perfect way, the easy way
to discover the Nagual.
I
then heard about the Toltec Mystery School through yahoo
groups. I started to read these posts and was drawn
to the TMS site. I contacted Kris and asked him if I could
join the Mastery of Awareness class even though I knew
nothing about the Toltec way and he said yes. When
I contacted him, I was at one of my lowest points
in life for myself--my relationship was not doing well,
I was unhappy and I lacked joy in my life.
I
knew I needed to make a change in my life and I chose to
do something about it. I joined the Mastery of Awareness
class, then the Mastery of Transformation class, and I
have now been with the Toltec Mystery School ever since. I
have found, through the guidance available to me in the
TMS, that I am the one who has to do the work and I am
the one who will benefit by doing the work. It is
not always easy, but each time I work through an area that
has been holding me back in life, the results are better
than I had ever dreamed possible.
Since
joining the school, I have been on two Power Journeys and
two workshops with K2 (Kris and Kalyn) and other members
of the TMS. It has shown me that when one truly has the
desire to clear, clean and heal, one will. Participating
in events and being with K2 and some others from the
collective is a very powerful experience, where one gains
the energy to continue to grow and evolve on
the path.
I
also find that after attending the Power Journeys and the
workshops that it makes me stronger in my WILL and I am
more confident in my self. I have met a collective of people
who are what I always thought a spiritual collective would
be like--with Love, Trust and a Willingness to support
each other. All those years of seeking led me to some healing
and growth. However, it never helped me to heal, grow
and evolve like I have since I joined the Toltec Mystery
School and began working with K2--and by being willing
to do the processes and to do the work. I am grateful
to the TMS and K2 for giving me the tools to use to heal,
grow and evolve, just as I am grateful to myself, for listening
to my desires and urges that have brought me here. I encourage
each of you to listen to your own desires, as this is your
Soul speaking to you.

Re-Claim
and Re-Energize! |

Have you ever felt
drained and exhausted by certain events or people
in your life? A reason behind this state is because
we leave pieces of our energy in whatever we engage
in. When a particular activity or interaction has
brought strong emotional reactions or required mental
concentration, the amount of energy lost can be considerable,
hence the feeling of drain. We leave pieces of our
energy in our hopes and dreams. Also, parts of us
continue to live in life probabilities we did not
choose as these probabilities do still exist in energy.
Walking a spiritual path takes an enormous amount
of energy and yet we all have a limited amount of
energy. Therefore, if we want to progress on our
path, we can't afford to leave pieces of our precious
energy stuck in the past, the future, or our probabilities.
Our energy does not need to remain lost to us. We
need to reclaim our energy that was lost and bring
it back to Self, to empower us in the present.
On the Sacred Frequencies Power Journey in Mexico this
past September, Kris began each day with a brief version
of an energy reclaiming process and I really enjoyed
starting the day in this manner. Since the Journey,
I have been doing daily, with very few exceptions,
the energy reclaiming process from the Mayan Sacred
Sites Energy Body Activation Series. The process is
not a lengthy one so it is easy to find the time to
do this even when I am having a busy day. It is a great
way to review the day and to bring back the energy
that was lost through my various activities and interactions
with people. Since the process begins with tuning into
the three bodies of the tonal, it helps me to center
too. Then if I have more time, I do one of the other
processes too - I may work on my chakras or do other
energy work.
The unexpected bonus from doing the process is the
way it naturally organizes recapitulation. When I bring
my energy back, I sometimes may experience strong emotional
charges that I then stop to process. Other times I
may feel the urge to recapitulate certain energetic
cords I have with people and I then do this after the
process. All in all, I like the effect that doing the
processes from this series has on me. I generally feel
more centered and whole. I intend to continue with
this routine and I would like to greatly recommend
it to everyone too.

Don't
Make Assumptions
Don
Miguel Ruiz, who Kris and I both worked with, gave the
world a great gift with his book, The Four Agreements.
Although these agreements may seem simple, they hold
different truths at different levels and, when applied,
they can make an impact on our lives.
This Toltec Path’s Ask the Guides focused on questions
about our life purpose and sharing the gifts we have
in our lives with others. Unfortunately, people often
make the assumption that only “special” people hold such
gifts. They mistake thinking that to be gifted one must
be mentally keen, must have been born into a special
family or lineage, or must have had a unique spiritual
experience.
For some of us it is true that we have come with a more
specific purpose of sharing something with the world;
for others of us our gifts may be hidden deeper but this
does not mean that we too don’t have wonderful and important
gifts to share. To think that some are special or gifted
this way while others are not would be an assumption.
Know
that you too have gifts, just like any master or teacher
you may know or admire. Realize that you need to unfold
these gifts, just like everyone else, and don’t assume
that you can fully share your gifts until you have taken
time to heal and strengthen yourself, unfolding your
divine self and gifts.

Kalyn have created an alternative, the Mastery of Awareness

but also energetic, meditative processes, and also live

CDs add a whole extra dimension. I like to learn by
reading, and when I listen to Kris and Kalyn on the
CDs, it takes me out of my pattern - which is what
this is all about. I have also never had much success
with meditation exercises that I read. The guided
exercises are a help to me, because I can release having

about it makes my left big toe tingle for some reason.
