However, after spending two years with the man Kris became disillusioned with him and left.  He didn't realize until many years later that this man used his gifts for power and control, and, in a very real sense, was a black sorcerer.  

By taking on the energy given to him by this man Kris was thrown off his path for over 10 years. This was a great lesson for Kris as he realized how easy it is to be seduced by power and "magic" on the path.

While in his thirties Kris began an intense seven year apprenticeship with a collective of non-physical entities who referred to themselves as the Counsel of Light. Kris says it was the most painful seven years of his life, as well as the most wondrous. By running intense, high frequency energy through Kris the Counsel step by step stripped away his false-ego self, exposing his deepest wounds and most painful places. 

As his inner world was methodically dismantled,  his outer world crumbled. At the same time, as each layer was stripped away, Kris found and connected to something much larger and infinitely more powerful than his false self.  Kris connected to higher aspects of Self and ultimately, to what the Toltecs refer to as the Dreamer.

After being released to him Self by the Counsel, Kris met the nagual don Miguel Ruiz and completed his Teacher Training. In his life of "Controlled Folly" Kris is a successful business man.  He has recently began to share the gifts given to him by his teachers.  His intent is to bring his students into touch with their higher aspects of Self where love exists without condition, where they find their own inner guidance, and where they are able to access true personal power so as to fully manifest their spiritual side into their daily lives.
